October 23rd News!
October 23, 2024
October 23rd Updates. Greetings to all my collectors, modelers, and hobbyists. Above is a cool diorama we plucked off our friends at Battlescene Productions Facebook page. This is a 1/35 scale 101st Airborne diorama. If you have any pictures of your dioramas, displays, or projects, email us and we will post on social media! Last week's trip to New Jersey was a success. We stopped off at the famous "Mount Kisco Diner." Joe and I did not need diner after that huge meal! After dinner we went "picking" in New Jersey and picked up a pile of King and Country and 300 military books. The K&C has been listed, and the books were priced and put in the store. We also picked up some more stuff from someone at the show. It has been a quiet week here in the shop, and we have been busy getting things priced and sorted. We have a big Bandai Gundam model shipment due in tomorrow along with some hobby supplies. We are also expecting a big game shipment with lots of fantasy minis, games, and more this week. Last week we received about 100 "tufts" from the Shadows Edge. They make great grass/tufts for use with gaming figures.

October 16th News.....
October 16, 2024
October 16th Updates. Greetings to all my collectors, modelers, and hobbyists. Fall is in the air and Halloween is just around the corner, so we thought we would revisit the King and Country Monsters that came out last year. Click the picture for a link. I am off to New Jersey this weekend. It should be a great show. About 60 dealer tables. I have lots of pre-orders to bring down. If you want to pick something(s) or look at something specific, please call by Friday or email asap. If we have it, we will bring it down. The show is Sunday, but we will head down early Saturday to look at another collection. We also have an in-store game schedule posted below. Stop by the store and roll some dice! Battletech is Sunday and usually draws a good crowd. Some of the new King and Country releases for October have arrived; the rest will arrive next week. The "French Royal Deux-Ponts" and "U.S. Marine Eugene Sledge by W. Britains are available to order. The Hat Industrie 1/32 Scale Civil War figures have been selling well. I have posted a picture below showing some comparisons. The photo and painted figures were done by collector Scott Lesch.

October 10th Hobby Bunker News!
October 10, 2024
October 10th Updates. Greetings to all my collectors, modelers, and hobbyists. Fall is in the air here in New England. We have had a busy week, with numerous shipments arriving and plenty of browsing in the shop. Our local toy soldier show was a success in its new location. Attendees socialized, shopped, and enjoyed the event! Thank you to everyone who came out and contributed to its success. I received feedback at the show suggesting that Hobby Bunker should display more items in our physical store. I will be looking for additional glass cases to enhance our displays. Next on the agenda is a toy soldier show in New Jersey on October 20th. We also have an in-store game schedule posted below. Stop by the store and roll some dice! The latest Hat Industrie sets, primarily featuring 1/32 scale Napoleonic Austrians and American Civil War marching sets, have recently arrived. LOD Enterprises has just sent us some new merchandise (see below). The new King and Country releases for October have been updated on our website, along with the addition of the "French Royal Deux-Ponts" and "U.S. Marine Eugene Sledge by W. Britains. .

September 26th News!
September 26, 2024
September 26th Updates. As September comes to an end so did the Chicagoland Toy Soldier Show. I am back in Wakefield and sorting out the show and trying to get back on track here at the Bunker. The show went very well. Running a show and trying to sell at the show has its challenges. Overall we had a great crowd and everyone was happy with the result. I am a little lost for words...still tired from the trip. We left Chicago on Monday and I rolled into my driveway about 2PM on Tuesday. We got a shipment form Mars and Orion last week (1/32 and 1/72 scale plastic) including a bunch of new Vietnam sets. We have just put in an order for some new Hat Industrie sets. Mainly 1/32 Scale Napoleonic Austrians and ACW Marching sets. Above is a diorama made my "Warring Warbirds" and was on display at the Chicagoland Toy Soldier Show. it is for sale still I believe. It is in 1/30 Scale.

September 12th News!
September 12, 2024
September 12th Updates. We are rolling through September, and the fall is just around the corner. I figured I would send out a quick email before I head back into the warehouse to pack more toy soldiers for next week's Chicago show. We leave on Monday, so if you want us to bring anything out to the show, let us know ASAP! This Sunday is PATCON, a model show and competition that will be held at the American Heritage Museum in Hudson, MA. We have a couple tables booked but unfortunately probably won't be able to attend. Also this Sunday (9/15), Hobby Bunker and the Connell Narrative are hosting a 20-person 40K tournament. It is sold out. But feel free to stop by and watch the action. Here are some of the weekly updates. This week, we received shipments from King and Country, Stevens Int. (Hobby Distributor), Toy Soldiers of San Diego, our Games Distributor, and more!
