Royal Navy Master-At-Arms Marching
The Master-At-Arms is a ship's senior rating normally carrying the rank of Chief Petty Officer or Warrant Officer. They are in charge of discipline aboard ship, assisted by regulators of the Royal Navy Police, of which they are a member.
Our marching MAA carries a black, gold-tipped drill cane under his left arm.
‘HEARTS OF OAK’
Or, if you prefer, ‘Heart of Oak’ is the official march of Britain’s Royal Navy. It is also the official march of several Commonwealth navies, including the Royal Canadian Navy and the Royal New Zealand Navy.
The ‘oak’ in the song’s title refers to the wood from which British warships were once made in the age of sail. The ‘Heart of Oak’ is the strongest central wood of the tree.
Now, all of that is a little introduction to King & Country’s latest addition to our ‘CEREMONIAL’ Parade Series: the officers and men of Her Britannic Majesty’s ROYAL NAVY.
These seven new figures appear on parade as they would have in the famous ‘VICTORY’ PARADE that took place in London in October 1982 following the defeat of Argentina in the Falklands War earlier that same year. All officers and men are dressed in full parade order, with officers carrying their naval swords, while other ranks carry the standard British SLRs (Self Loading Rifles) with fixed bayonets.
Due to be released in JANUARY 2025.
