Muirhead Bone was a Scotsman who was the first official British war artist appointed by the War Office to capture life in France with his pen and paper.  He produced some 150 Lithographs with two volumes of his work being published.  After WWI, Bone was knighted for his services.  He then went on to work with the Ministry of Information during WWII in a similar role.  We have made 100 pieces of Bone in relaxed dress sketching an aeroplane, as he would have done during the course of his career.
