Although most of the hostile Indians Custer faced at the Little Big Horn were Sioux and Cheyenne, a number of other tribes were also present. Among them was a young warrior chief called ‘Medicine Crow’, seen here letting loose an arrow at the beleaguered ‘Long Knives’.
