This time we are presenting German Army cavalry from 1940–1941. In the early stages of World War II, cavalry units played a relatively limited role, yet they still made significant contributions in carrying out reconnaissance, covering friendly forces, rapidly moving to key areas, and supporting combat operations.
Our intention is clear: to focus on them in the midst of reconnaissance missions. Through their postures and gestures, we aim to convey their alertness to their surroundings and the complex psychology of war—anxious, tense, fearful, yet brave and resourceful.
