Japanese commander, General Tomoyuki Yamashita, the “Tiger of Malaya,” together with his interpreter Major Sugita.

There seems to be the faintest start of a chip on the scabbard on the figure leaning on the red pencil in the third picture.
This set was previously owned and came from a collection.
