Fallen Persian Immortal with Head Wound (red/yellow shield)
The Immortals were a standing force of 10,000 warriors assigned to guarding the Emperor and carrying out military actions at his behest. Should a warrior be killed, then he was immediately replaced, thereby keeping the unit’s number of 10,000 warriors complete, and hence the name 'Immortals'.
A wounded Persian Immortal falls to the ground with an arrow embedded in his cranium, making for one hell of a headache, I am sure! The shield is supplied loose, so it can be applied around or on top of the figure to create a different look should you buy two or three of these figures. Please note there is a silver strip front and back at the bottom of this figures tunic, it is not missing paint and all figures sport this decoration!
The C version comes with a red/yellow shield.
