Item Number: 54AMR04-S
US Militia Infantry set II (Yeoman Crown Shako)
The cylindrical shako is the uniform headdress of the US infantry from 1810 to 1813. It is also referred to as the Yeoman Crown Shako. As Militia units often provide uniforms and other supplies through their own resource, it would seem highly probable that many Militia units would have access to this surplus item from the army stores. In 1813, the cylindrical shako is replaced by the tombstone shako (referred to as the Belgic shako in British sources).
Please note that the models of all three options of box-sets AMR 04 are the same except for their headdresses only
The set contains 9 model soldiers comprising of 1 officer and 8 infantrymen. The heads and arms are interchangeable to enable the assembly of at least 20 different models. The model postures are designed for two scenarios: (i) advancing/attacking; and (ii) defending/firing line.
