The set contains 5 model soldiers and 5 horse models comprising of 1 officer and 4 troopers. The heads and arms are interchangeable giving permutation of at least 10 different assembled postures.
Polish Lancers appear in many armies and wear basically the same uniforms except in different colours. In the French army, they appear in Blue (Polish) and Red (Dutch).
The model troopers can be assembled into two tactical scenarios: attacking or advancing. The use of the lance requires specialised training. In pursuit and when attacking infantry in square formation, the lancer is deadly.
The lance however is at a disadvantage in a melee and thus, lancer units always have a rear rank of troopers armed with the sabre and the carbine. The arm options to assemble such troopers are included in the box-set.
