Mercenary Hoplites (Unarmored)
The box-set contains 9 model soldiers comprising of 1 officer and 8 hoplites. Mercenary hoplites are often unarmored for greater mobility and flexibility in combat roles. Four types of helmets are provided in the set: Thracian, Chalcidian, Phrygian and Pilos.
This is a set. It provides models for the later period of Classical Greece. The feather plumes of the helmet is a popular accessory in Magna Graecia.
As many of the hoplites are not wearing greaves on their legs, shield-aprons provide protection for the front ranks.
