Carabiniers, French Army, 1812-1815
This set contains 5 cavalry model soldiers and 5 horse models comprising of one officer and four troopers. The heads and arms are interchangeable giving permutaion of at least 20 different assembled postured.
These are part of Napoleon's Imperial Guard. They are issued the same equipment as the Line Cuirassiers, except that their helmets are in copper and the cuirass are in brass-plated steel. Their helmet crest is the caterpillar comb, insted of the horsehair mane of the cuirassier. In other aspects, including tactical role, they are the same as the cuirassier.
The model troopers can be assembled into two tactical scenarios: attacking or advancing.
Last but not least, we assembled a standard-bearer and an officer for the carabiniers. We had previously sculpted a bare-head in bandage, but had not been able to find mold space to put it in. With this set, we finally found the space for it to be produced, and thus, it will be added as a bonus in both the FRN 09 sets.
