July News #1

July 18, 2018

Hope you're having a great week so far. I didn't realize how long it has been since my last email. Traveling to the London Toy Soldier Show, July 4th and then attending Historicon has kept me busy in July. Luckily for me I have nothing on the calendar until Boston Comic Con next month.
The London show was a blast. It was a busy time at the show. I just didn't have enough time to get a round. Between setting up and selling the day flew by. When I finally got some time many people were packed up. I picked up 2 one of a kind Tommy Atkins Trappers with pack mules. I had dinner with Sam Watson (Belfast) and John Turner (Tommy Atkins) on the Friday night after set up. My before and after the show sightseeing adventures included a drive to Brighton when I landed, then the White Cliffs (7 Sisters) and Hastings for the night. Day 2 was The Battle of Hastings, Dover and Dover Castle and Ickham, Kent for the night. The 3rd day we headed into Canterbury and then headed to London. After the show I pretty much walked several miles a a day and saw all of London.
Dover Castle.
The Historicon Gaming convention was very well attended. I think I saw more gamers than ever before. The dealer hall is just to far from the gaming area in the Summer heat. Sales would have been better if the a shuttle van was provided and the renovations were completed for better accessibility. The show will be in a better venue for selling next year and a closer ride was a plus.
A really nice 28mm Wargame.
We are working on a big in store promotion for a 2oth. Stay tuned.
