A Massive 1/32 Scale game we played at the Shop
January 30, 2018
We had a small Historical Games Day in the shop on Saturday. About 20 gamers stopped by. I set up a massive Sudan Campaign Game. I have had a couple thousand Armies in plastic sitting in plastic bins for years. I also had a fair amount of nice terrain that I wanted to keep for myself. So over a few years I accumulated the items and was dying to set them up! I have had this set up in mind for a couple of years. I topped it of with a Trophy Nile River boat. We had about 500 figures on the table and used a simple set of rules "Trench Wars" which we sell in the store for $20.00. Six of us played the game and we had a blast. Although the Boat contingent made it into the walled the city the lads that were to be relieved encountered some tough opposition. If I had not given the Mahdis a Gatling gun and gave it to the British instead and maybe swapped a cannon the outcome would have been different. Sadly the Irish Guards and the decimated Highlanders were left for dead by their British Scots Guard, King's Royal Rifles and Navy brethren!
